E-Linac status

First beam on Tuesday afternoon
Priority is on FLASH
- Plan for first FLASH tests with dead mouse or tissue in 2 weeks?
- HH: Still one cable missing, that needed connector
  - Discussion on power limits. AL followed up with Luca. Confirmed 1kW maximum power in pulsed mode, which means 0.1mA for a maximum of 1s at 10 MeV. And for continuous beam it would be 200W
Thomas said maybe first option for MPS is today or on Monday to do re-commissioning scans
- Focus will be on dump line.
- Once that's done, final thresholds can be set and updated in document "E-Linac BLM controls Configuration Specifications". And Darren can mount high energy LIC covers permanently.
They had beam again yesterday, egun ramp up looked like they went to 300kV without major issues. Looked fast on strip tool. Maybe 10 - 15min?
It looks like EINJ was at 980 MV/m. Yesterday EMBT:PMT3 was at 147 pC, EMBD:LIC2 saw 33 pC.

AL turned on Ar flow on Tuesday -> Just one bottle. Other has different valve, which seemed stuck.
Regarding Ar flow interlocks to prevent running beam when Ar flow is not given, we need to request work request.
Need to email Keiko to add Jessica to alarm list
Discussion on whether we could use solenoid and recirculate Ar instead of the gas going to exhaust. Level of leak tightness may not be good enough to guarantee adequate purity of gas. Once could test this via detector response over time.

AL ready to send out document, just need to get values for LICs. There was no Ar flow until Wednesday
Will do another manual calibration today, add values and send out
Question on sequence for PMT/LIC. If first calibration point is not checking out, should system continue to second point anyways? Or state calibration error immediately and abort calibration? Probably, just abort calibration at point 1.
Should there be an automated second attempt of the system to calibrate a channel, or should this only be initiated by expert?

Turns out the potentially available PMTs from Conny, that one is broken and the other likely in use
Martin is looking into 3-4 different types, once decided, will try to 3D print coupler.
Will get 2 PMTs.

AL talked to Jessica Blando regarding Ar supply. She said she would take over for Rick and continue to be in charge of purchasing. Have quick in person meeting tomorrow as well to check out the valve. JB also doesn't have key for shed?
MA talked to Phil regarding LIC fabrication. Likely early March.

AL to send out document for view screen/BLM interlock requirements/specs
AL to implement comments for BLM calibration requirements/specs document and send out to reviewers
Submit work request for Ar flow interlock
MA to buy PMTs
Fibre coupler: MA will try to get drawings from manufacturer for 3D printing option
AL to take recommissioning scans in medium and high energy section, once beam is back.
